Personal Narratives

Personal Narratives are due this Friday, September 22. Students are asked to bring their flash drives with them to class every day this week to save the work they do in the computer lab. I have also added the Personal Narrative Writing Task and the Personal Narrative Notes in the Forms section.

New Forms Uploaded

I have uploaded a couple of new handouts to the "Forms" section of my website. The Reading Minute calendars for each class, the presentation rubric for The Reading Minute assignment, and notes on commas have now been added. Check them out and stay updated on what's going on!

AoW: Language Reflection Questions

Here are your response questions for your AoW due on August 30. Please answer both of the questions on a separate sheet of notebook paper with your MLA heading.

  • What connections can you make between this article and Jason Kim's story?
  • What do YOU think determines one's national identity?

We will have a RE-QUIZ over the Ellipsis and the Dash on Thursday, August 24. I've added a copy of my notes in the Forms section. Study, study, study!

Having Trouble Writing Your Reflection?

I've added a document with guidelines for reflective writing. It's under the "Forms" section above and is titled "How Do I Write a Reflection?"

Students may turn in their copies of Ungifted for a free game pass to any HMS athletic event. If you're turning in your book, please bring it to class with you on

August 11.
