Hello and welcome! My name is Blair Jefferies, and I am excited to be at HMS. I grew up all over Memphis and graduated from Houston High. After marrying my husband, we moved to middle TN for 5 years, and then moved to Hernando in 2008. We have 3 children: a daughter in 8th grade and two sons, one in 5th grade and the other in 3nd grade. Our family loves sports! We are AR Razorback fans (woo pig!), love all the big teams in Memphis, and, of course, our local TIGERS! Our favorite sports are soccer, basketball, and football.
I received my BA in Education from TN Tech University where I graduated with honors. For 4 years, I taught 5th grade language arts and social studies at Center Hill Elementary in Olive Branch. I was then blessed to be a stay at home mom while my children were small. During that time I taught all subjects for 4th-7th grades. In 2019, I started working as a bus driver for Hernando Elementary and Hernando Hills. In 2021, I was given the opportunity to begin working here at the middle school as an assistant, then a 7th grade special education teacher, and now a 6th grade Social Studies/World Geography teacher and coach of the HMS Lady Tigers Soccer team.
