My full name is Darlene Logan Edwards. I'm currently in my 29th year
of teaching. I received my Associate's Degree from Northwest Community College, my Bachelor’s degree from Delta State University
and my Graduate degrees from Ole Miss. I love living and teaching in
Hernando because I grew up here! Hernando High School Class of ’91; Go
Tigers!
I’m married; my husband’s name is James. He’s a mental
health therapist. James and I have one adult
son, Jaylon and a furrbaby named Axl. My father, James Logan is deceased. My mom, Nora Logan, is a
retired school teacher of the DeSoto County School System. I have one brother, Patrick and his wife is Phyllis; they have two adult children, Peyton and
Patrice. I also have two precious great nephews, Elliot and Ellison. So
that’s my family!
My hobbies include writing skits and poetry. You
may hear me rhyme from time to time. I enjoy singing (background only)
with One In the Spirit (Acapella Chorus). My family and I attend Northwest Church of Christ in Southaven, MS under the leadership of Bro. Tradanius Beard. I’m a former coach
so; I enjoy almost any type of sport. I also like to watch movies. My
favorite movie is Love and Basketball. So, you guessed it; basketball is
my favorite sport.
