I received my Bachelor's Degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas in 1987. I have been with DeSoto County Schools since 2013.

I live in Olive Branch with my husband, our 2 dogs, Jake and Miley, and our 2 cats, Taz and Cheeto. We have been married for 26 years and have 2 children. Our daughter, Taylor, graduated from Tulane University with a double major in Neuroscience and Public Health and lives in New Orleans. Our son, Dylan, is a Chemical Engineering student at MSU in Starkville.
