Hi, my name is Mrs. Lacker and I will be your 6th grade ELA teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. I am currently building a house in Hernando with my husband Cody, my daughter Emerson, and our two dogs. This is my eighth year of teaching 6th grade ELA. I am so excited for this year, I know it will be the best one yet!

My childhood: I grew up in Olive Branch, MS and went to school grades K-12 there. I graduated high school in 2011 and ended up coming back after college to teach middle school there for 3 years before transferring to Hernando Middle School.

My education: I attended Mississippi State University all 4 years of college and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Go Bulldogs!

My expectations in my room: I have high expectations for my students to be successful this year. In my classroom, my students will be responsible, respectful, kind, try their best, and will not give up. We will focus on having a growth mindset this year!

Schoology: If your child is absent, they can get all of their needed make up work via Schoology. They can also use this as a resource if they lose classroom assignments or get behind.
